Studio Policies, As of August 1st, 2016

Class Trial Policies

  • New students are allowed one free trial class in the dance style of their choice.  Additional classes may be tried for $15/class.  The tuition paid to try the class will be deducted from your first month's tuition in the event you decide to register for that class.

  • Returning students may try new classes for $15/class.  The tuition paid to try the class will be deducted from your first month's tuition in the event you decide to register for that class.

  • Kid/Teen aerial silks and aerial yoga classes are subject to a $15/drop in rate to try the class for the first time.  The $15 will be deducted from your first month's tuition in the event you decide to register for class.  There are no free trials offered for aerial classes.

Tuition Policies

  • Automatic Debit Tuition - Tuition is automatically charged on the 5th of each month.  If automatic debit fails, the studio will contact you and you have until the 10th of the month to update the information.  If tuition is not paid for by the 10th, the student(s) will be dropped from their classes.

  • Pay As You Go Tuition - Tuition is due on the 1st day of class each month.  Students will not be allowed into class until tuition is paid for the month.  There is no prorating offered for missed classes.

  • A $35 fee will be charged for any returned checks.

  • No refunds are given on class tuition, camp tuition, show and recital fees, costume fees, party fees.

Class Make Up Policy

  • The 2016-2017 studio year consists of 37 dance weeks (35 dance weeks for Monday).  Tuition is calculated by a 34 week year, thus allowing for up to 3 free absences per year (1 free absence for Monday). 

  • Students are eligible to make up any additional absences past the 3 free (1 free for Monday) anytime during the 2016-2017 dance year.  After Spring Recital, missed classes are ineligible for a makeup.  Makeup classes must be scheduled with the studio at least 24 hours in advance via calling the studio during business hours.  Students may make up a class of similar nature to that they are missing.

  • Recital Season Makeup Class Policy: Students are still welcome to make up during recital prep season (March-June) but please note that makeup options are much more limited.  Due to most classes working on their individual recital dances, students making up classes will be unable to participate in much of the makeup class. 

Withdrawal Policy

  • Automatic Debit Tuition - The studio must receive written notification via email or by filling out the in class withdrawal form by the 15th of the current month when a student will be withdrawing from a class or leaving the studio the following month.  You will receive email confirmation of the drop for your records.  Notifications after such time will result in tuition still being due for the following month.  There are no refunds given on tuition. All students will be automatically dropped from their classes and automatic debit will stop after the completion of Spring Recital.

  • Pay As You Go Tuition - For those families who pay tuition on a monthly basis, no withdrawal notice is required.  Students will automatically be dropped if tuition is not paid for by the 1st class of the month.

Communication Information

  • The studio’s main point of contact is through email.  Please add and to your email address book.

  • The studio’s emergency point of contact is through a text messaging service.  Through this system, we will notify families of studio closures due to weather and holidays, important tuition and fee deadlines, class cancellations, etc. 

  • The studio’s third method of contact is through our website, Facebook, and Instagram.  Feel free to follow and check-in on these additional outlets for more studio news and information.

Class Policies

  • There is a 4 class minimum to keep a class on the schedule.  All classes are given 2 weeks to grow at the beginning of a semester before being pulled from the schedule.  Students in classes with less than 4 will be moved into larger, similar classes.

  • Students that appear to be causing safety concerns for themselves or other students in the class will be removed from class that day after a warning is given.  This includes hanging from ballet barres, mistreating mirrors, or distracting other classmates.  The student may return to the following class as normal.

  • Only water is allowed in the dance rooms.  Light snacks are allowed in lobby areas.  Please be mindful of drinks and snacks in lobby and pick up after children.

  • Students must adhere to class dress code or they will be required to sit out until a change of clothes is brought.  Our dress code is in place for the safety of the dancers.

  • No parents or siblings are allowed in the dance rooms at all during class time.  All students must be able to enter the room by themselves without assistance from their parents.  Closed circuit video surveillance is available for parents in the lobby.

  • For children ages 8 and under in recreational classes, parents must remain on premises during their child’s class time to assist with water and restroom breaks.  The studio is not liable for children in lobby at any time.

  • Parents of dropped off children must arrive 5 minutes before their child’s class end time.  The studio is not liable for children after closing.

  • Due to insurance restrictions, studio staff and instructors are unable to transport students to and from studio.  Please consult with fellow classmates if needing carpool assistance. 

Christmas Show & Spring Recital Attendance Policy

  • Students must attend their final class before Christmas Show in order to participate in the show.

  • Students must attend their final two classes before Spring Recital in order to participate in the recital.

  • Students are required to attend the dress rehearsal for Spring Recital in order to participate in the recital.

  • Students are only allowed 4 absences from March-June before they will be pulled from Spring Recital.
